Tro — Pey — Ah. A small and very beautiful town on the Calabrian coast of Italy. A place that’s special to us and the inspiration for Tropea, Harborne.

Behind Tropea are Ben and Kasia supported by a dedicated and passionate team. Ben and Kasia met training as chefs at University College Birmingham in 2010, followed by working and travelling around the world, developing their passion for food and wine. They worked in some incredibly inspiring venues, before coming back to Birmingham in 2016.They were very fortunate that the 2020 lockdown gave them the space to think, and the time to realise a collective dream – to open a restaurant of their own – Tropea.
